Non-timber forest products – Lecture & Social Event
Join the Nashwaak Watershed Association to learn more about non-timber forest products and to meet and socialize with woodlot owners. A presentation will be given by forester Ron Smith about his main “forestry” passion, non-timber forest products (NTFPs) – anything provided by the forest that isn’t timber, like berries, mushrooms, recreational opportunities, bird-watching, etc. Ron will give an overview of the variety of NTFPs that reside in New Brunswick woodlots, the benefits they provide, and the diversity of ways that they can help us enjoy a woodlot.
Stick around afterwards to enjoy some refreshments and to find out more about the Nashwaak Forest Stewardship Program. Register here to attend.
