Marieka Chaplin- Nashwaak Algae
On July 28th NWAI Executive Director Marieka Chaplin spoke to the CBC about the blue-green algae problem in Nashwaak Lake. See the above link to listen to the full interview!
Nashwaak Lake, the headwaters of the Nashwaak River, is located off Route 107 between Napadogan and Juniper. Water quality in the river for the month of July is good for recreation. NWAI is continuing to monitor water quality in the river and will provide notice if the river water quality deteriorates.
